Sisters days out

It all happened when Mini mailed me that she had decided to visit Bangalore in April but could not make it. That prompted me to send mail to my dear sisters Mitu, Mini and Chotu to visit us on May 1st weekend. It would be a long weekend. We had decided that we will visit some place near by Bangalore for a day, and then Wonderla - water park another. And ofcourse the most important of all- one day for SHOPPING. As luck would have it, Mitu had lot of work at office and could not start on Friday night. Chotu the good sister decided to come along with Mitu and postponed both the tickets for Saturday night.

Mini reached here on Saturday morning(29th April). She had a minor hiccup in the bus, when her seat number was allotted to 2 people. She was asked to move to another seat on the backend of the bus. So her trip from Chennai was a shaken one. She reached home by 7:30. We chatted, exchanged notes and decide to keep Saturday for shopping. We left home at 10:00. Only both of us, leaving Tia and Ved back at home. And how we roamed and shopped. By the end of the day we had swollen feet and tired self. It was decide we will park the car at Garuda mall. From there we window-shopped at Home Stop. Walked to Bangalore Central and then took auto for commercial. We shopped for our mothers. Mini had decided to add 3 more suits to Chachi's wardrobe. I bought one suit for Mummy and one pathan suit for Papa as his birthday present. Papa was reaching Bangalore on 6th - his bday. By the time we reached home it was 6:30 pm and Ved was not expecting us so SOON J We took some rest and decided to go to Windsor Manor for dinner- Raj Pavillian, poolside restaurant. The food wa extremely good, the specialty being Daal makhani. The best part was that the menu card was just 2 pages long. So we did not have much of choice and whatever we ordered was very well cooked and tasty. We ended our dinner with kulfi falooda. During that time we got call from Mitu saying that their bus had met with a breakdown and now they were waiting for another bus and would start late. They finally started pretty late from Hyderabad and reached here next morning by 10:30-11:00 at home.

And once we all sisters were in one place there was no stopping us. We forgot about all other plans and went on gossip and news exchange spree. Ultimately after Ved’s continuous shouting we got ready by 1:15 to leave for lunch. Since Hyderabad party had come so later our Mysore trip got cancelled. We went for Buffet lunch in Leela Palace –Jamavaar. It was good lunch – with Tia at her best behavior. Yes that was her best behavior. From there we went for Garuda mall, where we shopped and window-shopped. Chotu bought for herself very nice looking while slightly heeled sandals. Which I heard was not much appreciated by her co-workers back in Hyderabad. The icing in the cake was that for dinner Chotu prepared lovely vegetable biryani and raita. Ved had brought DVD for “Shaadi se pehle”. We started watching it, but was such a hopeless movie that gave up in between and went to sleep much after midnight.

1st May was the day we visited Wonderla – the water park. It is around an hour drive from home. It was fun there with every one of us enjoying the rides, water pool, and artificial waves… Mini and Chotu were very brave and adventurous and went for a slide ride that looked very interesting. Tia had a nice train ride and carousel ride. But she was so hooked up to pool that took me again to the pool. We two were there again for an hour or so, till others were enjoying other rides. Mitu and Chotu’s bus was leaving at 8:30pm(from majestic) while Mini’s was at 9:30.(from jayanagar). WE left Wonderla around 5:00. Reached home had tea and samosa(since Chotu was shouting bhook-bhook all the way back) and then prepared to go. And coming back to those white sandals bought by Chotu. Mini was hooked to them and wanted to buy them too. So after Ved and Tia left to drop off Mitu and Chotu. Mini and myself also left for Shoppers stop in Bannerghata road. As luck would have it, she did not get those sandals but landed up buying very smart white colored shirt. We finally left for Jayanagar at 8:40. Her bus came a little late and left around 10:15pm. This time too her seat was allotted to 2 people. By this time Mini was experienced and did not budged from her seat.

It was a nice break from the mundane happening of our daily life. I think we should repeat this again sometime. Maybe the Hyderabad trip next time. Tentatively we may visit there on 28th May weekend. Mini planning?
